Breast Reduction For Men
Breast Reduction For Men
Breast reduction for men may sound like something out of a horror movie or some weird late night TV show. In fact it is often the last solution for men who have suffered from many years of embarrassment with their Gynecomastia or as it is sometimes known man boobs.
Although I much prefer to call it by its proper name of Gynecomastia I appreciate that most men know it by it’s street term of Man Boobs. I always think that calling this serious medical term by anything that makes it sound in any way humorous is a mistake.
Gynecomastia makes thousands of men unhappy from the time they become teenagers right through till the day they decide to have breast reduction for men, liposuction or plastic surgery to fix the problem that has been making them miserable.
Liposuction for men is not a new operation it has been performed for nearly as long as it has been done with women. The only difference is that men don’t talk to anyone about the surgery, they tend to try and keep the need for the operation quiet.
No man (or women) has an operation on their breasts (or anywhere else) for fun, and gynecomastia surgery is no different. If you have man boobs that have been causing you to be too embarrassed to take of your shirt at the beach or they may be causing you physical pain even, then you should go and see your Dr right away.
A good Dr should be able to find a specialist who can help you reduce the size of your man boobs by using either liposuction or plastic surgery.
Breast reduction for men is often a more painful surgery than it is when done for women. This is because a mans fat tends to be more fibrous and tougher to get through, this doesn’t mean that you should not consider Breast reduction for men it just means that you need to be ready for a bit more pain than women get.
Gynecomastia surgery cost is always a factor that comes into play when you start looking at Breast reduction for men. Surgery is never cheap, it costs a lot of money to run hospitals and that money has to be recouped somehow. Don’t let the cost of Gynecomastia surgery scare you off straight away.
You can look at some natural treatments for your condition, you can even look at a course or two which offer some guides to various exercises you can do and food you can eat. If after trying courses, exercises and a change of diet you still find that you are not seeing improvements then you really must consider breast reduction for men.
If you needed a new car you would find ways to make payments, this surgery is more important than that. Look at your spending habits and see where you can make savings. Think about doing overtime or getting a second job even to help you get the money together for this life changing breast reduction surgery.
Is open surgery better than liposuction for gynecomastia?
Hello, I have suffered from massive man boob problem since puberty, and now I am having them removed. I consulted a gynecomastia surgeon last week who said he will remove most of the glandular tissue under my chest by making an incision at my nipple. He also said that he does not practice liposuction, because that falls more into cosmetic/plastic surgery.
My worry is should I consult another surgeon who does liposuction for men? I want to do this once, and get rid of as much fat in my chest there is, and I just want to know the best course of action. Will liposuction remove more fat in my chest than surgery.
… My insurance covers 100% of the cost if I go through my first surgeon, because the gyno I have can be classified as a health problem. If you tell me to go to another surgeon who does lipo, will my insurance cover that surgery too?
