Gynecomastia Questions and Answers

Breast Reduction For Men

Breast reduction for men may sound like something out of a horror movie or some weird late night TV show. In fact it is often the last solution for men who have suffered from many years of embarrassment with their man boobs.

Although I much prefer to call it by its proper name of Gynecomastia I appreciate that most men know it by it’s street term of Man Boobs. I always think that calling this serious medical term by anything that makes it sound in any way humorous is a mistake.

Gynecomastia makes thousands of men unhappy from the time they become teenagers right through till the day they decide to have liposuction or plastic surgery to fix the problem that has been making them miserable.

Breast reduction surgery for men is not a new operation it has been performed for nearly as long as it has been done with women. The only difference is that men don’t talk to anyone about the surgery, they tend to try and keep the need for the operation quiet.

No man (or women) has an operation on their breasts (or anywhere else) for fun, and gynecomastia surgery is no different. If you have man boobs that have been causing you to be too embarrassed to take of your shirt at the beach or they may be causing you physical pain even, then you should go and see your Dr right away.

A good Dr should be able to find a specialist who can help you reduce the size of your man boobs by using either liposuction or plastic surgery.

I believe I have Gynecomastia (Man Boob Condition). Any advice as to best ways to get rid of them?

I have enlarged breasts, definitely larger than most men have and they seem to be getting worse not better.

They are bothering me a lot now, My man boobs aren’t actually giving me any physical pain but they are causing me great emotional distress, I no longer want to go to anywhere that will need me to take my shirt or T shirt off in front of other people.

Plastic surgery would have to be a last resort for me as I am terrified of operations. I am sure there are things I can do to reduce my gynecomastia but I would like to know what.

I don’t mind paying out for some gym time or maybe some special supplements but I would appreciate any advice from men who have had gynecomastia and reduced it.

Gynecomastia surgery at 14?

Im 14 years old and I have gynecomastia (man boobs). I will admit that even though I have been trying to lose some weight I am still heavy ,im 5′8 165 lbs.
I have lost about 10 pounds and im still trying hard to lose more. My man boobs are not proportional to my body size, they seem to stick out much more now and that makes them even more noticeable. I don’t really know why this is happening it is probably either because i’m losing weight in my stomach area or they are getting bigger.
If wieght loss won’t help me then I need to know if surgery is my only hope. I am worried will it leave any scars. Also are there side effects that I could experience from having gynecomastia surgery when I am still a teenager?
