Post gynecomastia surgery pain

I had gynecomastia surgery (male breast reduction) 5 weeks ago. My dog jumped on my chest while i was sleeping today and to prevent the area from swelling or bruising i put an ice pack on my chest/nipples. I was wearing the ice pack (no towel or anything) for 5 minutes when i felt a sharp sting/burn in my nipple

i put the ice down right away and am wondering is that freezer burn ? can i do damage to my surgical area like make it raised or puffy?
